We Mind EMDR et Mémoire de travail
Écoutez l'introduction :
Tjeu Theunissen is the Scientific Director of the Psychology department at Moovd.
In this series of four videos, he explores in detail the theory of working memory and its impact on the effectiveness of EMDR 2.0 therapy.
Originally developed by Alan Baddeley in 1974, well before the discovery of EMDR by Francine Shapiro in 1987, working memory theory describes an essential component of cognitive functions, characterized by a limited capacity to retain and manipulate information in the short term.
This cognitive capacity is intensely solicited during EMDR sessions, where it plays a preponderant role in the processing of traumatic memories. The WeMind platform implements a strategy of overloading working memory in order to reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories.
This approach significantly improves the effectiveness, efficiency and personalization of EMDR therapy.
Distinguished by its integration of cutting-edge technologies, WeMind intentionally increases the load on working memory, pushing it beyond its ordinary capacities.
Thanks to an innovative algorithm, the platform individually adjusts the cognitive load, depending on the specific capacities of each patient, thus reinforcing the effectiveness of the therapeutic intervention.
